Event | The Hip Haus

Hi everyone! We wanted to share with you all an amazing event happening monthly in Toronto! It's called The Hip Haus and we're so lucky to be on the team of awesome people that put it together. The first event took place on May 21st at Set Boutique in Toronto and it was a hit! Not only was it well attended but everyone left saying how happy they were that something like this was finally happening in Toronto!

So what is The Hip Haus? It's essentially a meet up for young professionals in Toronto. It was all started by the incredibly talented guys at Balantech, and the whole point is to help young people in Toronto make connections, empower each other and grow local business! Restaurant Review | Ravi's Soup

Last week, before we went to the Parloque opening, we went to a restaurant called Ravi Soups. There are three locations in Toronto and we visited the one on Queen Street.

Event | Opening of Parloque with Flare Magazine

Hey guys!! Last week we went to the opening of an awesome new boutique downtown called Parloque. This event was held by Flare Magazine and we were so excited to be there! We were so in love with the layout of the store and the way the brands were organized. With a women's section in the front and a separate men's room in the back, all of the items were organized by designer and made it very easy to shop. What we also loved was that there were only a few items by each designer. This made shopping simple, and demonstrated how selective they were with what they chose to display and sell.

Hello, lovelies! Last week Shivani and I had the pleasure of attending an event called “Cocktails n Canvas” (Yes, we were Glasses 'n Lashes at Cocktails 'n Canvas LOL). It was an amazing night full of food, laughter, wine, and creativity!

Makeup Monday | Mini Sephora Makeup Haul (and initial thoughts!)

Hey everyone! I made a little stop off at SEPHORA because I needed some new eye shadow. I was pretty much set on getting one of the Naked palettes by urban decay, but I couldn’t really decide which one. Every time a makeup artist has used them on me, they’re awesome. Also, whenever I use them myself, I find that the colours really work on my eyes, and they have a lot of options. But, standing there in the store, looking at all three palettes, I just thought, I don’t think I really need to spend that much on palettes that have so much variation of the same colours. I pretty much so the same makeup look almost every time I use eye shadow, so it just wouldn’t make sense for me.

Too Faced – Natural Eyes Palette

I was talking to the girl at Sephora and she suggested this palette instead. I was completely sold on it because it basically has colours from the Naked Basics palette (all matte), the taupe undertones of Naked 2 and the rose gold shades of Naked 3. It seemed like the best of all worlds, so I grabbed it!
