Hey dolls! This week we collaborated with Lotus Leaf Communications to curate a cool style guide for this upcoming awards show season! We were very influenced by the Golden Globes that just took place, so we thought this post would be fun since there are so many more awards shows happening in the near future!
I decided to focus on important accessories and mini details for this style guide. We wanted to keep it simple with essentials for guys and girls! Let me know what you think in the comments below!
1. ALEX AND ANI - Thank You Charm Bracelet, $32
I always love a simple charm bracelet. They're easy to dress up or down, and they add a simple sparkle to a gorgeous gown. This one from Alex and Ani, is gold with a black charm saying "Thank You" - super appropriate if you win an award!
2. Guess - Ambelu Pump, $110
Gotta love a simple black pump. This one from Guess is minimalistic with a pointed toe and slim heel. The buckle on the ankle strap gives it that extra "umph" and sets it apart from regular pump. And of course, it's black - perfect for dressier outfits because it goes with anything and can help to tone down an otherwise busy design.
3. Triumph - Amazing Sensation Push-up Bra, $80*
Don't forget about what you're wearing UNDERNEATH that dress! I've been loving long-sleeved dresses this season, and with those you need a good bra (and at least with long sleeves you get to have straps). This push-up from Triumph is great, the nude colours allows it to be worn under any colour and the underwire provides amazing support.
Shapewear is a new staple! If you want everything to look smooth with clean lines, you need this Highwaist Panty from Triumph. It's perfect design hugs you in all the right places, while remaining invisible underneath whatever dress you're rockin'!
Some people love to go crazy creative with nails. For an event like an awards' show though, I like it to keep it simple. This nude colour called 1995 from Lacc Beauty does just that. It's the perfect light nude and will go with any dress colour, whether it's neon green or a chic black!
6. Dr. Martens - 3989 Brogue Shoe, $165
Last but not least, we need something for a more masculine look! These Dr. Martens are awesome. What I love about them is that they're still totally formal, without being too professional or grandpa looking (not that being a grandpa can't be cool!).
