Recipe | Honey Glazed Salmon

Happy Thursday! So we've been pressed for dinner ideas and had some salmon in the fridge, so we decided to do something other than the run of the mill pan fried dish. So we looked up salmon recipes and clicked the first one we came across. We tried Honey Glazed Salmon from damndelicious.net & here's how it went!

INGREDIENTS
  • 5 slices fo Salmon
  • 6 tbsp of Honey - 5 for the Salmon, 1 for the Sauce
  • 5 tbsp of All Purpose Flour
  • 1 Lime (we used lemon in this case)
  • Salt
  • Black Pepper
  • 6 tbsp of Butter
  • 2 cloves of Garlic
  • 1 tbsp of Olive Oil
SALMON

  • We sliced the salmon into long strips, and seasoned with salt and black pepper
  • Once seasoned, we dusted each strip with 1 tablespoon of all purpose flour, and drizzled 1 tablespoon of honey on top
  • Next, both sides were seared in a pan with some olive oil.
  • Finally, the salmon was put in the oven to bake for 8-10 minutes at 400 degrees Fahrenheit.
SAUCE

  • As per the recipe, we melted 6 tablespoons of butter in a skillet, and whisked until brown.
  • Next, we added 2 cloves of pressed garlic, juice of 1 lemon (we didn't have any lime), 1 tablespoon of honey, and a pinch of salt & black pepper.
  • Once done, we put it in a separate bowl and waited for the salmon to be done baking.
  • Once the salmon was finished, we plated it and immediately glazed it with the warm browned butter lemon* sauce

There ya have it! It took about 30 minutes start to finish, so the time on the actual website was accurate. This was a quick and easy dish! We served it with steamed veggies and mashed potatoes, but you can choose whatever side you like!

Let us know if you try it in the comments section below! Bon Appétit!
